About Deka Bakari Gallery

We are open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m (Tuesday - Friday) and 11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Saturday). We are Open Late for the Monthly 1st Friday Art Walk.

Now that school is back in session, vacations are over, and Fall is around the corner, make sure that you come out for the 1st Friday Art Exhibits in downtown Knoxville, TN on Friday, September the 5th. We will be open on 1st Friday from 5:30 P.M. - 10:00 p.m. For our September 2008 Exhibit, we are excited to be presenting Beth Davis, John Dillon, Michael & Susan Moran, and Kera Sewell.

Thaddeus George, Deka Bakari's resident artist will be having a solo show on Thursday, September 18, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Club Leconte, which is located on the 27th floor of the First Tennessee Plaza Building. All members and non-members are welcome to attend! They will have light appetizers and a cash bar. We look forward to seeing you there!

GREAT Gallery

I LOVE this place. They have some of the best art you can find by some amazing local artists!! It is fresh, new, and just exactly what this town needs. I think it is great that we have a fun and friendly art gallery to bring a little appreciaiton of beauty to downtown.
